Vascular Cardiology, Research, & technology (VCRT) fellowship

The VCRT program, founded by Dr. Ashby in collaboration with CVC, offers aspiring doctors and healthcare professionals from all fields an internship opportunity to gain invaluable experience. Participants will work alongside Dr. Ashby and colleagues in various specialties, contributing to CVC’s mission of fostering positive change and empowerment in the community while learning from his extensive knowledge of medicine and patient care.

Miami Rescue Mission Clinic

The Miami Rescue Mission Clinic aims to provide free or low-cost healthcare services to homeless and low-income individuals in the Miami area. The clinic is part of the Miami Rescue Mission, a broader organization dedicated to serving the needs of the homeless, hungry, and at-risk populations.

CVC and Dr. Ashby have a partnership with the Miami Rescue Mission Clinic, where, once a month, they host "Cardiology Night." This event provides the homeless community access to cardiology care for heart-related concerns. Dr. Ashby plays a significant role as an attending physician during these nights, offering expert care and support.

Beyond providing medical care, Dr. Ashby mentors University of Miami medical students, helping them apply academic knowledge in real-world clinical settings and fostering a sense of responsibility toward underserved populations. His mentorship ensures that future physicians are clinically competent, socially conscious, and prepared to serve all members of society.
